Border fabrics
Backing = 11/2 yard

First Border – cut 1” wide strips
Second Border – cut 2 1/2” wide strips
Binding – cut 3 1/2 “ wide strips

**Fat Quarter method – 1 quarter of each color needed for the top squares. 1 quarter needed for each border and binding.

Fabrics for Crib size:
Need 3 coordinating fabrics
Background (Block A, Block B, and First Border) = 1 yard will be plenty
Center Chain (Block A, Block B, and Second Border) = 1 yard will be plenty
Outer Chain (Block A, Block B, and Binding) = 1 yard will be plenty
Backing = 11/2 yard

First Border – cut 2” wide strips
Second Border – cut 5” wide strips
Binding – cut 3 1/2 “ wide strips


 
Fabrics for Full/Queen size:
Need 3 coordinating fabrics
Background (Block A, Block B, and First Border) = 3 3/4 yards
Center Chain (Block A, Block B, and Second Border) = 3 1/4 yards
Outer Chain (Block A, Block B, and Third Boarder) = 5 yards
Binding = 1 yard
Backing = 10 1/2 yards (45” wide fabric)
